摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger in which heat energy delivery and reception can be performed efficiently in the folded flow passage portions of heat exchanger tubes. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger is provided with a main body barrel 3 having an end plate 4 at its front end and a plurality of U-shaped heat exchanger tubes 16 arranged in the barrel 3 so that the folded flow passage portions of the tubes 16 may be positioned closely to the end plate 4. In this heat exchanger, the fluid A flowing through the heat exchanger tubes 16 and a fluid B flowing from an inlet-side flow passage 13 to an outlet-side flow passage 14 through the vicinity of the end plate 4 deliver and receive heat energy to and from each other through the tubes 16. In this heat exchanger, the passing of the fluid B through the gap between the spot where the folded flow passage portions of the tubes 16 are aggregated closely to each other and the internal surface of the end plate 4 is prevented by increasing the flow resistance of the gap by packing a porous material 21 in the gap.
