PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation structure and an installation method for an exterior wall support crosspiece easily capable of achieving precise size in installing an exterior wall member to a building structure with an air layer on the inner side. SOLUTION: This installation structure for the exterior wall support crosspiece is provided for supporting the exterior wall member for providing an exterior wall structure having the air layer on the indoor side of the exterior wall member. The exterior wall support crosspiece 15 is installed onto a screw part 13 provided to stand from the building structure (a floor beam or the like) 11 through a bearing base 14 of a prescribed height.
