PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a low-noise, low-loss power supply in a forward-type switching regulator. SOLUTION: In the forward type switching regulator, a main switch Q1 is switched with a zero voltage by using the main switch Q1, a capacitor C3 across both ends of the Q1, a constant voltage source C2, a clamping diode D1, an auxiliary transformer T2, and an auxiliary switch Q2.
