PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which noise caused by a cooling fan is reduced to a low level in the middle of the night. SOLUTION: An image display device is provided with a temperature sensor which is used to detect internal temperature of the device and a cooling fan controller which controls the revolving speed of the fan based on the detected temperature of the sensor. During a preset midnight time period, the maximum revolving speed of the fan is regulated to a lower value than the set maximum revolving speed in a normal controlling interval excluding the case that the detected temperature of the sensor exceeds an abnormal temperature.
