PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter by a transfer method, which sufficiently satisfies the specification of patterns such as resolution, position accuracy or the like of a color filter and which is excellent in a throughput. SOLUTION: A pressure sensitive adhesive layer transfer member 30 having a release layer 32 and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer 33 on a base film 31 is pressurized by a pressurizing member 10 having projections to form a pressure sensitive adhesive pattern 33a. A color material layer transfer member 40 having a color material layer 43 on a base film 41 is pressurized by the pressurizing member 10 having projections to form a red color pattern 43R on the pressure sensitive adhesive pattern 33a. These processes are repeated by required times to obtain a color filter 100 having the red color pattern 43R, green color pattern 43G and blue color pattern 43B formed on the color filter substrate 21. |
