PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic oil pressure regulating valve having high magnetic efficiency without causing weakening the suction force of a plunge 45 and reducing the wear caused between the plunger 45 and a plunger guide 47. SOLUTION: The outside and inside of a boss part 52 provided on the peripheral side of the attracting part 51 of a stator core 41 of the magnetic drive part are tapered so that magnetic leakage to the side of the plunger is reduced while the distribution of magnetic flux is increased in the direction approaching the attracting part 51 of the stator core 41 of the plunger 45. On the other hand, by dispensing with the need for the front end of the plunger 45 to be tapered, the wear caused between the magnetic plunger 45 and the non-magnetic plunger guide 47 is reduced, thus foreign bodies are also reduced to be intruded therein. In such a way, the plunger guide 47 is reduced in its wall thickness, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the magnetic circuit.
