PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor post being easy to adjust in height and machine, and excellent in corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The floor post comprises: a sleeper receiving member 20 from which an upper threaded bar 22 having an external thread part 21 with either right- or left-handed threads cut on the lower surface thereof is suspended; a base member 30 on which a lower threaded bar 32 having an external thread part 31 with the other of the right- or left-handed threads cut on the upper surface thereof is placed upright; and a tubular adjusting member 40 having first and second internal thread parts 41 and 42 cut at both ends for engagement with the external thread parts 21 and 31 of the upper and lower threaded bars 22 and 32, with the outer periphery of the adjusting member having a polygonal cross section. Thus, because a tool such as a spanner can be engaged over the entire area of the outer periphery of the adjusting member 40, a sleeper is easy to adjust in height.
