PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead storage battery which has no looseness after being fixed once, has good productivity, and does not pool water in a concave part space provided on a cover when water is fallen on the cover. SOLUTION: In a lead storage battery equipped with a middle cover and an upper cover joining with an outer surface of the middle cover, and provided with a concave space with its upper surface and front surface opened and pinched between two convex parts of the middle cover, a tabular convex part is provided on the upper cover, and the upper surface of the concave space is covered by bridging the tabular convex part between two convex parts provided on the middle cover. Also, a drainage through-hole is provided at the tabular convex part.
