PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information for improving accuracy for tracking a street where the present position exists on a map database when a traveling body such as a vehicle moves over the streets. SOLUTION: An eligible street having the highest probability is determined from among plural streets in the map database by being compared with direction values of the streets in the map database in a prescribed range from the present position of the traveling body including an error and the measured moving direction, and defined as the street of the present position having the highest probability of existence of the traveling body.
