PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a present position mark on a road, even if a terminal is not equipped with a storage medium for storing road data for map matching. SOLUTION: A map matching communication processing part 7 of a portable map display terminal 1 controls and allows the communication part 4 to transmit the present position and the present azimuth detected by satellite navigation to an external map display support device 30 through the Internet 20, and requires map matching. The map display support device 30 corrects the present position on the road by map matching by using the road data based on the transmitted present position and present azimuth, and transmits corrected present position data to the terminal 1 through the Internet 20. The corrected present position received by the communication part 4 of the terminal 1 is outputted to a map display control part 8. The map display control part 8 draws a map image in a fixed range including the present position by using map data for map drawing based on the corrected present position data, and displays the image on a screen on a display part 3 together with the present position mark. |
