PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make surely preventable the deterioration of the signal of an adjacent track even when a position deviated from the center of a track on a recording medium is scanned with a light beam or a certain amount of deviation occurs in writing/erasing power. SOLUTION: This storage device provided with a function to change the writing and/or erasing power of a light beam for the recording medium is constituted so that at least one parameter is set according to writing and/or erasing power among parameters for writing and/or erasing including a slice level for writing and/or erasing for detecting a track misalignment of a light beam from the track on the recording medium during writing and/or erasing, a track misalignment detecting time constant, a slice level for writing and/or erasing for detecting an extraneous vibration and an impact to the storage device, and an impact detecting time constant for detecting the extraneous vibration or the impact.
