PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembling of a shaft and a housing and to prevent occurrence of a deflection motion of the shaft associated with turning of a turning member without the need for processing of the turning member. SOLUTION: The hinge unit is provided with the shaft 10 whose whirl is stopped at one of the turning members A, B and with the housing 20 whose whirl is stopped to the other of the turning members A, B and the shaft 10 and the housing 20 are connected turnably to each other. The shaft 10 is coupled to the housing 20 while being contactless to the other of the turning members A, B. The housing 20 is provided with a bearing 204 that permits fitting of the shaft 10 at least at two positions of the shaft 10 in its axial direction by pushing of the shaft 10 in the radial direction and blocks movement of the fitted shaft 10 in the radial direction.
