PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for cleaning air conditioner by which the cleaning of such a non-heavily stained spot that stains can be removed without using any cleaning fluid can be performed more easily. SOLUTION: The cleaning device S1 is provided with a brush member 1, a suction nozzle 2 fitted with the member 1 at its front end, a suction device 3 which sucks dust through the suction nozzle 2. The device S1 is also provided with a hose 4 connected to the base-side end of the nozzle 2, a connecting fitting 5 which connects the hose 4 to the suction device 3, and a fiberscope 6 used for observing the inside of the indoor unit of an air conditioner. An image introducing section 620 at the front end of the fiberscope 6 is positioned under the front end of the nozzle 2 through a positioning member 70. In addition, the image transmitting section 62 of the fiberscope 6 is laid along the underside of the nozzle 2 almost over the full length of the nozzle 2 and integrally fitted to the nozzle 2 by means of a binding member 71. |
