PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross-flow fan capable of preventing a backflow at the time of low flow quantity, and an unstable flow at the time of high flow quantity, and restricting generation of noises. SOLUTION: In this cross-flow fan, an impeller is composed to be provided with plural blades around a center axis between partition plates provided at both end parts in a center axial direction, so that air is blown through from one circumferential surface side of the impeller facing the suction side to the other circumferential surface side as the impeller is rotated. Plural auxiliary blades are provided on outer side surfaces of the partition plates around the center axis, and an auxiliary casing to cover the auxiliary blades which rotate around the center axis on one circumferential surface side is provided. The auxiliary blades are thus composed as a centrifugal fan to suck air in the center axis direction to be blown to the other circumferential surface side. Distribution of blowing flow quantity is equalized to the center axis direction, and noise increase due to generation of an eddy current is restricted.
