PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval system capable of transmitting only information required by a user, in a communication system communicable with a car navigation device. SOLUTION: The car navigation device 110 loaded on an automobile 200 requests transmission of a commodity list to a server device 300 through a cellular phone 120 and a communication network 10. In this case, the car navigation device 110 transmits information of the own car position together with acquisition request of the commodity list. In response thereto, the server device 300 selects a store in a prescribed range from the present position of the automobile based on the own car position information received from the car navigation device 110. After selection, the server device 300 retrieves the commodity list relative to the selected store, and transmits the commodity list on stocked commodities to the car navigation device 110. |
