SOLUTION: In the lubricating oil supply apparatus for the engine 5, lubricating oil is supplied in the engine 5 by an oil supply means 24b. When the oil is supplied, a solenoid valve as an oil supply means is opened, and when the upper limit of an oil level is detected by the oil level sensor, the solenoid valve is closed. If a specified time or more has elapsed until the oil level reaches the upper level, it is determined that an abnormality has occurred in the oil level sensor or the like to notify that check and maintenance are needed, and the solenoid valve 24b is closed.
