PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting system that receives video information in a bidirectional manner, as though it were interactive by using video information, etc., transmitted in a one-way manner from a transmitting station. SOLUTION: A data transmission apparatus 101 cyclically multiplexes presentation information and navigation information stored in a transmission data storage unit 102 according to control by a multiplexing control unit 110 and a transmission unit 106 transmits the multiplexed stream. A reception control unit 126 of a data receiving apparatus 121 sets a filter conditions in a filter condition storage unit 131 of a TS decoder unit 123, according to user operation indications. The presentation information and navigation information, separated by the TS decoder unit 123, are outputted to a display unit 129 and an audio output unit 130 via a reduction unit 128.
