PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether or not a slider normally reaches the front position even when performing blind fitting of a connector by grouping. SOLUTION: Both housings 10 and 20 are fitted and separated by the cam action between a cam groove 44 and a follower pin 17 by driving the slider 40 back and forth. The position where a connecting plate 42 of the slider 40 abuts to a side surface 20A of the female housing 20 is the front position. While a recessed part 70 is formed on the connecting plate 42, a projecting part 72 fitted to the recessed part 70 is formed on the side surface 20A of the female housing 20. After finishing push-in work of the slider 40, an operator touches and sees the vicinity of the recessed part 70 of the connect plate 42 with hand. When pushed in up to the front position, the projecting part 72 is fitted in the recessed part 70, and the operator can obtain the touch of flush between a projecting surface 72A and an outside surface 42A of the connecting plate 42. When the slider 40 stays on this side of the front position, the touch senses as the recessed part 70 is still recessed.
