PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water intake equipment capable of taking in water from a deep layer without laying intake pipeline along the bottom of water. SOLUTION: This equipment comprises a water intake pipe 2 installed by suspending in water, an underwater float 5 placed below water surface and penetrated through with the intake pipe, a tension rope 3 arranged by being inserted through the inside of the water intake pipe, and a weight 9 installed at the bottom of water. The top of the water intake pipe is connected to a suction pump 14, and a water intake hole 25 is provided at the bottom of the water intake pipe in the configuration.
