PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory data destructive/nondestructive determination method that can precisely determine whether or not the data stored in the backup area (memory area that retention of stored data using an auxiliary power source is required while the power distribution is stopped) of a volatile memory device are destroyed due to the power distribution stop. SOLUTION: When the power distribution is stopped, the sum total of all data stored in the backup area in a RAM 2 is written in an area that is not the backup area in the RAM 2, as checksum data at the time of power distribution stop, and when the power distribution is resumed, depending on whether or not the check sum data at the time of power distribution resumption that is the sum total of all the data stored in the backup area in the RAM 2 matches the checksum data at the time of power distribution stop, whether or not the data stored in the backup area in the RAM 2 are destroyed is determined. |
