PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a planar member at a high place accurately and safely. SOLUTION: This system comprises an oscillator 1 for irradiation of a linear laser beam in the radial direction around an axis on a reference vertical plane by rotating a light source 3 around a prescribed shaft 2, a light receiver 9 mounted on an inspection plane protrusively in the direction crossing with the inspection plane, for detecting the beam applied from the oscillator, and a control device for operating the distance from the inspection plane to the position where the beam is detected by a detection signal supplied from the light receiver.
