PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a flame-retardant cellulose material, wherein an excellent flame-retardancy without an environmental load is given to the cellulose. SOLUTION: An acetylcellulose (A) and an alkoxysilane compound (B) of 0.1-150 pts.wt. to the acetylcellulose of 100 pts.wt. are uniformly blended, and thereafter acetyl groups are partially or perfectly removed and the alkoxysilane compound is hydrolyzed and condensed to form the organic and inorganic hybrid flame-retardant cellulose material.
