PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner provided with an intake device preventing rainwater from reaching an engine to perform its good operation by quickly separating and discharging the sucked rainwater in the atmosphere and eliminating a height limit of mounting position itself. SOLUTION: An intake device is formed into a triple structure of cylindrical shape out of an outer cylinder 6, an inner cylinder 7, and an intake conduit part 8, by providing a lengthwise long cut raised intake port toward the inside of the outer cylinder 6 in its side surface, air for combustion is whirled, centrifugal force is given to mixed rainwater, to make the rainwater adhere to an inner wall of the outer cylinder 6 and separate from the air for combustion. The air for combustion separated from the rainwater goes down between the outer/inner cylinders 6, 7, and rises up between the inner cylinder 7 and the intake conduit part 8, to be sucked into the intake conduit part 8, to reach an engine. One separated rainwater is discharged from a rainwater discharge port 5 in a side surface lower part of the outer cylinder 6.
