PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To amplify the quantity of displacement input, and to transmit the amplified quantity to a hydraulic damper. SOLUTION: The vibration control device 10 has constitution in which the hydraulic damper 12 is assembled to a bearing wall 11. The hydraulic damper 12 is installed so as to be arranged in a triangular space 20a partitioned by a pair of braces 26 and 28 in a wall surface-shaped space 20. In the hydraulic damper 12, the front end 12c of a piston rod 12b is connected rotatably to a connecting section 24 mounted at the right angle section of an upper beam 18. The end section 12d of a cylinder 12a for the hydraulic damper 12 is supported by a toggle mechanism 30 amplifying the quantity of displacement input. The toggle mechanism 30 is composed of the first link 36 connected to a connecting member 32 coupled with the end section 12d of the cylinder 12a and the second link 40 rotatably joined with a connecting section 38 secured to the connecting member 32 and at the left angle section of the upper beam 18.
