PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a medicinal composition giving drugs of inhibiting, treating or preventing diseases relating to abnormality of intestinal immunity, for example, inflammatory bowel diseases (particularly Crohn's disease or colitis, for example, ulcerative colitis) and alimentary allergy. SOLUTION: The antibody responding to AILIM (called ICOS or 8F4, too) has been found to significantly inhibit the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel diseases (particularly Crohn's disease and colitis, ulcerative colitis and the like) and to develop the significant therapeutic effect against these inflammatory bowel diseases. |
