PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a thermoplastic resin composition which can improve dimension stability, warpage, mechanical properties, and whiteness in a good balance. SOLUTION: The process for producing a thermoplastic resin composition comprises mixing a glass powder with calcium carbonate to obtain a mixture, adding water glass and water to the mixture, and molding the resulting mixture to obtain a glass molded product, heating the glass molded product to obtain a porous glass, pulverizing the porous glass to form a porous glass pulverized powder, and mixing the porous glass pulverized powder, with a thermoplastic resin to obtain a thermoplastic resin composition.
