PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which the occurrence of a defective image due to the dew condensation in the image forming device provided with an on-demand fixing unit is prevented and also the dew condensation causing the occurrence of the defective image is removed when the dew condensation is caused. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with the on-demand fixing unit energized in accordance with an image forming instruction and to fix a toner image transferred on a recording medium, a sensor to detect at least either of environmental parameters consisting of temperature and humidity and an energizing means to energize the on-demand fixing unit for a specified time when the rising rate of the environmental parameter exceeds a specified reference rising rate by obtaining the rising rate of the environmental parameter based on a detected result by the sensor. |
