PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system, using a portable telephone, that can provide easy-to-follow geographical information, particularly when providing advertisement information, and can update the advertisement information in real time. SOLUTION: In the information providing system that makes a portable telephone with Internet connection function a terminal device and provides the advertisement information through the Internet network, an advertisement update part is provided for rewriting the advertisement information from the portable telephone, an advertisement offerer gets access to a Web server from his/her portable telephone, an advertisement information file for the advertisement offerer is selected with an update management part in accordance with identification information, advertisement data are inputted with a data input part, and an advertisement page is updated with an advertisement page update part. |
