PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that accurate detection is not performed if external light noise enters an optical sensor used for detecting the position of the driving mechanism of a lens barrel part in a lens device. SOLUTION: This lens device has the lens barrel part equipped with a movable lens 1, an optical detection means 5 attached to the lens barrel part and optically detecting whether or not the movable lens or the driving mechanism for driving the movable lens exists at a specified position, a driving source part 6 giving driving force to the driving mechanism 3 and an optical finder part 7. In the device, at least either the driving source part or the optical finder part is arranged at a position where it intercepts the incidence of the external light on the optical detection means with respect to the lens barrel part.
