PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further ensure and strengthen engagement between an optical receptacle housing and an optical connector housing. SOLUTION: The external housing is provided for fixing an optical connector housing engaged with an optical receptacle housing, and is equipped with a cover part that covers the outside of the optical connector housing and an inserting part that is insertable into the restraining receptacle of the optical receptacle housing. The external housing has a positioning part that comes into contact with the rear outer circumference of the optical connector housing and that can control the movement of the connector housing in the crossing two axial directions. It also has a screw hole so as to be screwed down to the optical receptacle housing.
