PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent heat shock protein(HSP) inducer. SOLUTION: This HSP inducer comprises a compound represented by the formula (I) [wherein, R<1> denotes hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or the like which may have a substituent; R<2> denotes unsubstitution, hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent; R<3> denotes a heterocyclic group which may have a substituent; X, Y and Z denote each hydrogen, a halogen, nitrile, a hydrocarbon group or the like which may have a substituent; or X and Y together may form a ring-A or Y and Z together may form ring-B; a bond part represented by a solid line and a broken line denotes either a single bond or a double bond; a bond part represented by the broken line denotes either a single bond or unsubstitution; ring-A denotes a 5- or a 7-membered homocyclic or heterocyclic ring which may have a substituent; ring-B denotes a 5- or a 7-membered homocyclic or heterocyclic ring which may have a substituent; and n denotes 0 or an integer of 1] or its salt.
