The invention concerns a flight control surface (7) actuator, in particular for controlling an aircraft primary flight, comprising, in a main control path (1), a main actuator (3) of the flight control surface (7). The invention is characterised in that the actuator of the main control path (1) comprises a vibration type motor, and it further comprises in a compensating secondary control path (2), a compensating actuator (4) and means forming a spring (5) interposed between the compensating actuator (4) and the flight control surface (7), said compensating actuator (4) tensioning or compressing the spring forming means so that they can provide the flight control surface (7) with an average force for discharging the main actuator (3) of the average force which it must apply to the flight control surface (7).
