The invention concerns a ship low-noise hydrojet propeller unit with good performance. It mainly comprises a hydrojet propeller assembly consisting of a hydraulic screw (7) feeding a helico-axial pump (8) emerging in the diffusers (9). A nozzle (10) completes the assembly, which is powered by lateral louvers (6). The electric motor (11R, 11S) is axially represented, but may be radial. The shaft (3) is rotatably mounted, through hydraulic thrust bearings (4V, 4R). The assembly can be have azimuthal orientation. The invention is applicable to ships and submarines.
