PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire with the improved durability of a belt is provided to prevent the occurrence of the separation in the end portion of a second belt having the longest width. CONSTITUTION: A first, a second, a third and a fourth belts(11,12,13,14) are layered between a carcass and a tread section. Herein, many recessed grooves(20) are formed in both side end portions of the second belt at a specific interval. The shape of the recessed groove is formed in the arc shape, the trapezoid shape, or the rectangular shape. The width(W) of the recessed groove is within 5mm to 30mm. The depth of the recessed groove is within 5mm to 15mm. When curing a green tire, the recessed grooves absorb the compressive deformation of the second belt. Thus, the deformation modulus is minimized.
