<p>The invention relates to a method for molding a plastic bottle with a shaped bottom and the resulting bottle. Said method involves initially blowing a preform of said bottle in a mold having shape of the outer contour, the length of said preform being subjected to variable heating with the aim of obtaining a wall whose material is thicker than the remaining parts of the body on the end part of the bottle pertaining to the bottom or base during the blowing operation. In a following step, said bottom of the bottle undergoes stretching by an axially moving core that is inserted into the mold when the bottle is still in flowing state, thereby forming a hollow in the bottom whose shape matches that of the head of the core. The bottom or base part of the resulting bottle has a hollow or concavity whose walls are structurally resistant to considerable internal pressures, for e.g., said bottle can contain carbonated or sparkling drinks.</p> |
