<p>A filter assembly for cigarette comprising a tubular filter element wherein the filter element includes a filter material of acetate fiber bundle, paper for wrapping the filter material, and an adhesive region formed on the inner surface of the paper and having a part coated with adhesive extending continuously in the circumferential direction of the filter element. The method for manufacturing the filter assembly comprises a process for forming the adhesive region by coating a paper web, becoming the paper, with adhesive before it is fed to a wrapping section.</p> |
