PURPOSE: A method for resetting a plasma display panel to improve a contrast is provided to enhance the contrast of the plasma display panel and form wall charges in display cells selected by an addressing process. CONSTITUTION: The first reset process(t1-t2) is performed to boost a voltage applied to the first display electrode lines to the first voltage(VBX). The second reset process(t2-t3) is performed to boost a voltage applied to the second display electrode lines to the second voltage(VBYP) and the voltage applied to the first display electrode lines to the first voltage(VBX). At this time, the second voltage(VBYP) is higher than the first voltage(VBX) and the third voltage(VBF) is lower than the first voltage(VBX). The third reset process(t3-t4) is performed to maintain the voltage applied to the first display electrode lines at the first voltage(VBX) and lower the voltage applied to the second display electrode lines to the fourth voltage(VG). At this time, the fourth voltage(VG) is less than the third voltage(VBF).
