PURPOSE: A light adjustment device is provided to achieve improved quality of molten steel by monitoring state of molten steel regardless of changes of temperature of molten steel. CONSTITUTION: A light adjustment device comprises an illumination meter(10) arranged at the front end of a housing(160), which measures intensity of the light emitted from molten steel; and a shade control unit for controlling the amount of light being introduced into a camera(150) in accordance with the illumination level measured by the illumination meter. The shade control unit includes a controller(30) for outputting signals in accordance with the signal output from the illumination meter; a bracket(40) installed within the housing where the camera is installed; a rotating member(41) having a top rotatable through a hinge axis, with respect to the bracket; a light-proof glass(42) arranged beneath the rotating member; and a solenoid(43) for rotating the rotating member by pressing an end of the rotating member so as to dispose the light-proof glass at the light incidence line of a camera lens(151). |
