The invention relates to a method for converting gas stored in liquid form into vapour with a determined pressure, by feeding the liquid gas to and vaporizing thereof in a vaporizing space, determining after vaporizing the pressure of the thus vaporized gas, and adjusting the feed of the liquid gas to the vaporizing space on the basis of the determined pressure. A vaporizer/pressure regulator for performing this method has a conduit for feeding the liquid gas which debouches via a controllable shut-off valve into a vaporizing space, a pressure regulating chamber arranged downstream of the vaporizing space, and a conduit connected to the pressure regulating chamber for discharging the vaporized gas with determined pressure.
