PURPOSE: A temperature control method of aeration tank is provided, in which refrigerant performs a cyclic process through a compressed step to a high pressure and temperature where cold treatment water is heat exchanged with the hot refrigerant to be heated to a high temperature and an expansion step to a low pressure and temperature where the hot treatment water is heat exchanged with the cold refrigerant to be cooled to a suitable low temperature, thus keeping the temperature in the suitable range of 25 to 30 deg.C., so that blower is kept at normal load saving power consumption and breaking of floc is prevented. CONSTITUTION: The temperature control of aeration tank is performed by using heat pump equipped with a water cooled condenser and an air cooled condenser to keep the temperature at 25 to 30 deg.C that is the most suitable temperature for microorganism. In winter season, the effluent heat contained the discharge water is recovered to the aeration tank thus preventing any dropping of water temperature, and in summer season, heat of aeration tank is released to atmosphere thus preventing temperature rise, with the heat pump used here being to cope with the ambient temperature in summer season.
