PURPOSE: An advertisement displaying method and terminal is provided to previously store geographic coordinate data relevant to specific buildings or advertisements, and to automatically output corresponding advertisements and image or voice data via a terminal if the terminal approaches a specific position. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of initializing each device of a terminal if the terminal is switched on, periodically performing a coordinate calculation of a current position by using data received from a GPS(Global Positioning System) and mobile data sensed by a gyro sensor, calling data on advertisement positions near the calculated data, determining if corresponding advertisement is output, offering the advertisement via a speaker, a bell, an LED or an LCD, performing a coordinate calculation of a current position based on the GPS data, outputting forcefully advertisements in a case that advertisement has never been displayed for a set period, and storing current position data at a memory if the current position data is externally input.
