A mobile communication terminal of the present invention comprises a radio unit 2 for establishing radio communications with radio base stations, a GPS receiving unit 4 for measuring a position of its own, and a control unit 5. The control unit 5 detects reception condition of radio waves from a radio base station and a distance to the station, selecting the most suitable radio base station to be communicated with based on the detected results.
