<p>A method and apparatus for determining areas of significance within images (frames) in a video stream the method comprising the steps of receiving video stream having at least two images representing pixels associated with the images on time axis vector; analyzing the images within the video stream and applying a threshold value to the at least one analysis frame thus determining the areas of significance within the images. The method and apparatus can be employed for content insertion, inserting functional display effects in the areas of low significance within the images and interacting with areas of significance within the images.</p> |
