A joint formation system for bituminous top coatings with a bituminous joint bond, which is adhesively bonded to the seam of the top layer, and is treated via a precoat, using a bitumen based joint strip and an adhesive precoat for this strip is new. An Independent claim is included for a precoat for applying the bitumen based joint strip to the seam joint (sic) of the bituminous top layers, top layer reinforcement, and edge seals, where the precoat is bitumen based and includes an adhesive resin, so that a thick and long lasting bond is obtained between the seam flank (sic) and the joint strip directly over the precoat.
