A sealing element (1), in particular for sealing primary packagings for pharmaceuticals, comprising at least two parts (3, 5), at least partly in contact, is disclosed. The above is characterised in that channels (23), whi ch permit the throughflow of steam, are provided for sterilising the contact surfaces (29, 31). Furthermore, a system for production of an injection syst em with a sealing element is disclosed. The above is characterised by the following steps: pre-assembly of the sealing element, sterilisation of the sealing element and final assembly of the sealing element.
