The invention concerns a device for optical signal demultiplexing comprising a first coupler (3) which splits the optical signal propagated in two different branches (4, 6) of the device and a second coupler (6) which couples the signals derived from the two branches (4, 5). The invention is characterised in that one branch (5) comprises means (51-55) for obtaining in the second coupler (6) input a signal in the form of light pulses having a rate of pulse repetition which is a function of the signal to be obtained in the device output, said pulses being slightly in phase lead relative to the signal to be multiplexed; and the intensity of the light pulses is adapted to saturate an absorbent medium (7) extending after the second coupler.
