The awning canvas (12) is drawn in by device (15) contained within the profile of the drop-bar (13) and composed of a gas spring used to tension the rope running between awning guide (14) and drop-bar (13). Gas springs are fitted to both ends of the drop-bar and the spring consists of a housing and relatively moving arm which carries a pulley traveled by the rope specified. The drop-bar can be fitted with a second pulley so the rope can reach between the two pulleys. The drop-bar runs in the guide (14) via two drum-type rollers.
