A planar antenna module has a first non-conductive single- or multi-layer plate or foil (1) , preferably of plastics or ceramics etc, a second single- or multi -layer plate or foil (2) consisting of a layer of defined conductivity profile, preferably a conducting or semiconducting layer, which is joined to a connecting element (4), the latter being coupled to the conducting background or to the conductive assembly plane, and a third (3) single- or multi-layer plate or foil (3) consisting of a layer or layers of defined susceptibility- or conductivity-profile. The conducting or semiconducting plate or foil (2) has a slotted structure closed on all sides with a circular or elliptical etc axis and is coupled to a waveguide, preferably a coaxial waveguide.
