METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ASSISTANT POWER SUPPLY TO COMPUTER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An assistant power supply controlling method is provided to prevent an instant power shut-off caused by an unstable AC power or a data loss caused by a power shut-off and to supply a stable power to a computer system. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of sensing a power shut-off with a microprocessor while a computer task is being executed(S10), transmitting a continuous power supply instruction to an inverter for maintaining to supply the power to the computer system in a case that a power shut-off time is less than a reference time, for example, 3-5 seconds(S20), storing data at a memory and then stopping the execution of the computer system in a case that a power shut-off time is more than a reference time(S21), stopping an actuation of the inverter, and booting the computer system by powering on the computer system if the shut-off state is released(S30), and restoring a task environment of the computer system to a state prior to the power shut-off by using a program(S40).
