The lid has a cap (6) and a closing wall (8) containing a tear-off tab (13). A bulge (17) is formed round the inner surface, which is geometrically identical over the entire inner wall region including the inner surface (13') of the tear-off tab, projecting radially inward to a uniform extent. It covers the hinge region (15). The thinned-out point (14) is only formed between the remaining circumferential region of the wall and the hinge region after the tear-off tab has been used.
